Wichita, Kansas, January 14, 2020 – Southwestern College has been recognized again for having some of the best online degree programs in the country by U.S. News and World Report.

The media company, which publishes news, rankings, and analysis, assessed schools on four categories in their rankings. They include engagement, services and technology, faculty credentials and training, and expert opinion.

Southwestern College made the lists for Best Online Master’s in Business Programs (Excluding MBA), Best Online MBA Programs, Best Online Master’s in Education Programs, Best Online Bachelor’s Program, and Best Online Bachelor’s Programs for Veterans.

“It is gratifying to see that our programs are being recognized once again,” says Mike Leamy, associate vice president of academic affairs for Southwestern College Professional Studies. “This is the result of collective hard work from both faculty and administration, which focuses on constant evaluation and continuous improvement to best serve and engage our students with meaningful courses and academic programs that prepare them to meet their personal and professional goals. As always, regular and meaningful interactions are at the heart of our teaching.”

Established in 1885, Southwestern College has offered online degree programs through its Professional Studies division for nearly 20 years. Adult learners, including military members and their spouses, can choose from more than 30 online undergraduate, graduate, and certificate programs. Courses are taught every six weeks by expert faculty completely online, giving learners a well-rounded learning experience no matter their location. The next academic session begins February 17th.
