Every learner at Southwestern College Professional Studies is assigned an academic success coach (ASC), who will be your support throughout your academic program. Your ASC plays a critical role in the your educational journey. Our ASC’s are full-time coaches, meaning they are truly focused on you and your success. This person is your supporter, interpreter and guide while at SC.

The academic success coach is prepared with the tools and best practices to help you persist achieve your individual educational goals. Each academic success coach is committed to proactive learner contact, providing the necessary level of support for an optimal educational experience.

Shirley earned her Bachelor of Science in Business with an emphasis in Quality Management from Newman University. She graduated with her Master of Arts in Communication from Wichita State University. In addition to advising students, she teaches at the college level. She is an avid traveler in her spare time.

Stephanie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Clark Atlanta University as a traditional student and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Baker University as an adult learner. Stephanie has experience in regulatory and commercial banking, corporate management, family engagement, training development and delivery, and community partnership development. Prior to joining Southwestern, she worked for Wichita Public Schools in programs focused on supporting students academically and preparing them for collegiate success.
