WICHITA, Kansas – The Center for Corporate Learning at Southwestern College will offer Leadership Level 1, a three-session leadership series, which will encompass communication, relationship building, resolving workplace conflict, delegation and coaching employees. The series will be powered by Development Dimensions International (DDI), a top talent management consultancy that assists companies revolutionize the way they hire, develop and promote their leaders and workforce.
Course material will be taught by Margaret Harris, a DDI certified trainer with more than 30 years of experience as an educator and trainer. Harris also holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Human Resource/Organizational Development.
“New Leaders who are prepared to transition into their roles are promoted because of value they bring to their organization,” said Denise Sherman, director of the Center for Corporate Learning. “The Leadership Level 1 series provides training to handle the challenges and stress that comes with being a new leader.”
The first session will begin Thursday, February 25th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Southwestern College Professional Studies campus on S. Rock Rd. in Wichita. Subsequent sessions will be held in March and April. Sessions can be taken individually for $199.00 each or as a bundle for a total cost of $579.00. All course materials are included.
