Southwestern College – Professional Studies is keeping up with the times with its new Information Systems Management degree.
The new Bachelor degree emphasizes broad knowledge and skills in information systems management and administration and applied knowledge in project, information security, design and development and innovation management. In addition, students may choose to specialize in security, enterprise systems, or data management and decision support.
“It is these specializations that will truly enable students to differentiate themselves in the job marketplace as they will have both an information systems management degree and specialized knowledge in an area where there is significant demand,” Arthur Smith, Program Director of Business and Leadership.
ISM students at Southwestern College – Professional Studies will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in managing several key functions of information systems through their application in realistic scenario and simulation-based activities.
The core ISM Program includes 30 credit hours with 10 core courses. If a specialty is chosen, nine additional hours in three specialization courses are required.
