Southwestern College – Professional Studies is setting itself apart from other colleges by restructuring its Master’s in Business Administration online program.
With a new emphasis on mastery, which enables graduates to mentor, coach and lead others as they advance in their careers, the new MBA program has been enhanced with new courses to ensure a current and relevant curriculum to meet the demands of organizations today.
“Employers today want employees that not only possess the knowledge and skills, but also can apply them effectively as individuals and through working with others,” said Arthur Smith, program director of Business and Leadership. “Mastery of these knowledge and skills enables our MBA graduates to be better prepared to hit the road running in a current or new job.”
Students can expect three optional areas of concentration in the new program: marketing, finance and information technology.
“Finance, information technology and marketing are three of several major factors that contribute to business sustainability and growth and are areas of significant attention by businesses in both the public and private sectors,” said Smith.
The MBA program includes 13 six-week online courses for a total of 39 credit hours. If an area of concentration is chosen, three additional six-week online courses are required.
