Wichita, Kansas – Southwestern College Professional Studies RN-BSN student Moses Bulambo attended the American Academy of College of Nurses (AACN) Student Policy Summit in Washington, D.C. in March.
The three-day conference was open to baccalaureate and graduate nursing students enrolled at an AACN member institution. Students who attend the Summit are immersed in didactic program sessions focused on the federal policy process and nursing’s role in professional advocacy. While in the nation’s capital, Bulambo was able to visit Capitol Hill and meet deans from nursing programs across the country to carry a key message supporting nursing education and research.
Just 200 students are permitted to attend the Student Policy Summit. Bulambo plans to graduate in May.
