Wichita, Kansas, October 7, 2014 – Three events with Marine Major General Michael Lehnert (retired) hosted by Southwestern College – Professional Studies next week will be streamed online for those unable to attend.
Lehnert, who was in command of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba when it was transformed into a detention facility for suspected terrorists in 2002, will participate in a panel discussion with other law enforcement officials, including Sedgwick County Sheriff Jeff Easter and retired Wichita Police Chief Norman Williams, Wednesday, October 15th from 9 a.m. to noon. Lehnert will give a public lecture on terrorism that evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Both events, which are open to the public at no cost, will be held at the Hyatt Regency Wichita.
Thursday, October 16th, Lehnert will speak exclusively to members of the military at the Holiday Inn East.
